What is Colonoscopy?
Colonoscopy is the internal examination of the colon and rectum by a colonoscope (a long, flexible tube about half an inch in diameter with a camera attached to the end), to evaluate symptoms of the colon (eg. Rectal bleeding, change in bowel habits and persistent abdominal pain), or to screen asymptomatic individuals who are at risk of colon cancer.
When a person goes to a doctor seeking treatment from their hemorrhoids, they may be afraid. However, if they are educated about any hemorrhoid procedure the doctor may recommend, it can do a lot to relieve their anxiety. It is therefore important to study these things before your first visit. The type of treatment your doctor recommends will depend on many factors, such as the severity of the hemorrhoids and their size. But the most important distinction is the place where the hemorrhoids are. Different procedures are used to treat those on the inside than those on the outside.
The day before the PPH surgery:
Unlike other surgical procedures this one doesn’t require you to empty your body inside out. However, not eating or drink anything for a day before it helps with giving yourself few extra hours for recovery before you have to go and use the bathroom for your # 1 and 2.
